Designed specifically for isolating trichomes from plant materials—most commonly cannabis or hemp—the vortex trichome separator targets the tiny, resinous plant structures that house cannabinoids, terpenes, and other compounds responsible for the plant’s therapeutic and psychoactive properties.

Within cannabis and hemp processing workflows, trichome separation serves as a critical extraction stage, enabling the production of concentrates, oils, and other specialized cannabis products. This device employs mechanical agitation to separate trichomes, yielding a highly concentrated final product with elevated cannabinoid potency.

Operating Principle: A filter screen is positioned inside the housing, followed by a layer of ice and the target plant material, then topped with a second filter screen. The motor drives the transmission assembly to rotate the inner mechanism; driven by paddle-mounted force from the unit’s base, the extraction kettle’s unique geometry generates cross-flow turbulence, creating intense stirring force within the housing. Free from plant particle contamination, trichomes separate rapidly from the host plant and remain suspended as insoluble solids in water. Once the water-trichome slurry is separated from leftover biomass, it can be easily filtered, collected, and dried to obtain high-quality hash.
