Petroleum Products Color Tester, Compliant with SH/T 0168-92 for Lubricating Oils

Equipped with a 220 V, 100 W frosted opal bulb with a color temperature of 2750±50 K, the light source produces light with spectral characteristics matching natural sunlight after filtration through opal glass and daylight filters. Via plane mirrors and prisms, the standard light is converted into two parallel beams of identical size, which uniformly and separately illuminate the sample in the color comparison tube and the color glass on the standard color disc.

Constructed from a concave mirror and a dividing bar, the observation lens allows users to view two semicircular color fields—with the right semicircle displaying the standard color. The optical observation lens features adjustable light intensity and focus, ensuring intuitive, easy operation.

Featuring 26 Φ14 light apertures, 25 are sequentially fitted with standard color glasses ranging from color number 1 to 25, while the 26th aperture is left blank. A handwheel located on the instrument’s right side rotates the color disc to select the matching standard color during testing. The standard color comparison glasses on the disc must be calibrated using standard color comparison liquids.

The color comparison tube is an uncolored flat-bottom glass tube with dimensions of Φ32 mm and a height of 120～130 mm. It is inserted into the instrument through the lid located on the top of the device.

The tester consists of four key components: a standard color disc, observation lens, light source, and color comparison tube.
