Manufactured in strict adherence to the People’s Republic of China National Standard GB/T508 and ASTM D482 Standard Test Method for Ash Content of Petroleum Products, this tester is designed to determine ash content in petroleum products. It is not applicable for testing petroleum products containing ash-forming additives (including those with specific phosphorus compounds), lead-containing lubricating oils, or used engine crankcase oils.
Test Method Overview: Utilize ashless filter paper as the ignition core. Ignite the sample in a crucible until it burns down to ash and carbon residue. Heat the carbon residue at 775℃ in a high-temperature furnace to convert it to ash, then cool and weigh the resulting mass.
