Molecular distillation is a specialized liquid-liquid separation device. Unlike conventional distillation, which relies on boiling point differentials for separation, this technology utilizes variances in the mean free path of distinct substances. As a liquid mixture flows along the inner wall of the main evaporator and is heated, light and heavy molecules escape the liquid surface and enter the gas phase. Due to differing free paths, light and heavy molecules travel varying distances after vaporizing. Light molecules reach the main evaporator’s built-in condensation coil and are collected, while heavy molecules fail to reach the coil and are discharged alongside the residual mixture, achieving targeted material separation.
Working Principle
Materials are fed from the supply tank into the jacketed main evaporator, which maintains a consistent heating temperature. An integrated scraper uniformly spreads the material into a thin, flowing liquid film for immediate evaporation. Light component substances vaporize and adhere to the built-in condensation coil, then flow into the light-fraction collection flask along the coil’s outer wall. Simultaneously, heavy component substances flow down the main evaporator’s inner wall into the heavy-fraction collection flask.

Precautions for Use
1. Pre-charge the cold trap with liquid nitrogen for pre-freezing prior to equipment operation
2. The equipment uses oil heating at high temperatures; do not touch with bare hands to avoid scalding
3. Operating temperature ranges from -80℃ to 250℃ (300℃ requires customization)
4. Ensure the cooling water valve is fully open and functioning properly before initiating operation
