Marine organism culture—particularly the cultivation of microalgae and macroalgae cells and tissues—is a global research priority. Within this field, secondary metabolites like marine terpenoids are the subject of extensive academic investigation.

This illumination bioreactor is engineered for algae cell and tissue cultivation. It features an elongated tank with a total volume of 3.6L and an 11 SNW tank cover. A specially designed low-position cooling jacket and outer casing light source are integrated to optimize light transmission efficiency. Multiple mixing paddle options are available, including flat, bevel, and turbine paddles. Light intensity can be adjusted freely via percentage settings, enabling simulation of diverse lighting modes such as day-night cycles.

Standard configuration includes three 8W fluorescent lamps, with customization options available to meet specific customer requirements. Light intensity remains fully adjustable.

1. Key fermentation parameters including pH, DO, temperature, and rotational speed are monitored by the controller, with all data and control parameters transmissible to the controller or connected computer.

2. A Siemens PLC control system paired with a vinyl LCD touchscreen displays all measured values and control parameters, streamlining user operation. USB connectivity enables data transmission, tank data sampling and display, system data browsing and analysis, and setting adjustments.

3. Four peristaltic pumps are mounted on the front side of each tank, allowing precise supply of acid, alkali, antifoam agent, and culture medium to the fermentation tank.

4. An off-position sterilization magnetic stirring method is employed, delivering a simple structural design and stable operational performance.

5. The system boasts a compact design that integrates all components into a unified fermentation setup.
