The FFE-500 single effect falling film evaporator is an industrial unit built to concentrate solutions—especially those with heat-sensitive components—and recover solvents such as ethanol, hexane, and heptane. As its name indicates, fluid forms a continuous film that flows downward along tube walls, making it ideal for processing low-viscosity products with minimal fouling tendency.

Evaporation occurs within vertical tubes housed in a shell-and-tube heat exchanger, capped with a proprietary liquid distribution device. Meticulously engineered, this distributor ensures efficient, uniform delivery of liquid to every tube, allowing the product to flow as a gravity-driven continuous falling film.

The complete solvent recovery system includes not only the falling film evaporator, but also a circulation heater (with optional steam generator), water cooling tower, circulation chiller, vacuum pump, and all required auxiliary components.
