A Series Short Path Glass Molecular Distillation Equipment: 0.1Pa High Vacuum for CBD Oil Extraction

Molecular distillation is a specialized liquid-liquid separation apparatus. Unlike conventional distillation, which relies on boiling point differentials for separation, this technology leverages variations in the mean free path of distinct substances. As the liquid mixture flows along the inner wall of the main evaporator and is heated, light and heavy molecules escape the liquid surface to enter the gas phase. Due to their differing free paths, these molecules travel varying distances after vaporization. Once passing through the main evaporator’s built-in condensation tube, light molecules reach the tube and are discharged, while heavy molecules fail to reach it and exit with the mixed liquid, thus achieving material separation.

Working Principle

Materials are transferred from the feed tank to the jacketed main evaporator, which is continuously heated. An integrated scraper evenly spreads the materials into a flowing liquid film for instant evaporation. Light component materials vaporize and adhere to the built-in condensing coil, then flow into the collection flask along the coil’s outer wall, while heavy component materials drain into their respective collection flask along the main evaporator’s inner wall.
